This will give you the chills.......
GOOD chills.
A young man had been to Wednesday
Night Bible Study.
The Pastor had shared about listening to God and obeying the Lord's
voice
The young man couldn't help but wonder, 'Does God still speak to
people?'
After service, he went out with some friends for coffee and pie and they
discussed the message.
Several different ones talked about how God had led them in different
ways.
It was about ten o'clock when the young man started driving home.
Sitting in his car, he just began to pray, 'God...If you still speak to
people, speak to me. I will listen. I will do my best to obey.'
As he drove down the main street of his town, he had the strangest
thought to stop and buy a gallon of milk.
He shook his head and said out loud, 'God is that you?' He didn't get a
reply and started on toward home.
But again, the thought, buy a gallon of milk.
The young man thought about Samuel and how he didn't recognize the voice
of God, and how little Samuel ran to Eli.
'Okay, God, in case that is you, I will buy the milk.' It didn't seem
like too hard a test of obedience. He could always use the milk. He
stopped and purchased the gallon of milk and started off toward home.
As he passed Seventh Street , he again felt the urge, 'Turn Down that
street.'
This is crazy he thought, and drove on past the intersection.
Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh Street ..
At the next intersection, he turned back and headed down Seventh.
Half jokingly, he said out loud,
'Okay, God, I will.'
He drove several blocks, when suddenly, he felt like he should stop He
pulled over
to the curb and looked around. He was in a semi-commercial area of town.
It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst of neighbourhoods either.

The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark like the
people were already in bed.

Again, he sensed something, 'Go and give the milk to the people in the
house across the street.' The young man looked at the house. It was dark
and it looked like the people were either gone or they were already
asleep. He started to open the door and then sat back in the car seat.
Lord, this is insane. Those people are asleep and if I wake them up,
they are going to be mad and I will look stupid.' Again, he felt like he
should go and give the milk.
Finally, he opened the door, 'Okay God, if this is you, I will go to the
door and I will give them the milk. If you want me to look like a crazy
person, okay. I want to be obedient. I guess that will count for some
thing, but if they don't answer right away, I am out of here.'

He walked across the street and rang the bell. He could hear some noise
inside. A man's voice yelled out, 'Who is it? What do you want?' Then
the door opened before the young man could get away.

The man was standing there in his jeans and T-shirt. He looked like he
just got out of bed. He had a strange look on his face and he didn't
seem too happy to have some stranger standing on his doorstep. 'What is it?'
The young man thrust out the gallon of milk, 'Here, I brought this to
you.' The man took the milk and rushed down a hallway.
Then from down the hall came a woman carrying the milk toward the
kitchen. The man was following her holding a baby. The baby was crying.
The man had tears streaming down his face.
The man began speaking and half crying, 'We were just praying. We had
some big bills this month and we ran out of money. We didn't have any
milk for our baby. I was just praying and asking God to show me how to
get some milk.'
His wife in the kitchen yelled out, 'I ask him to send an Angel with
some. Are you an Angel?'

The young man reached into his wallet and pulled out all the money he
had on him and put in the man's hand. He turned and walked back toward
his car and the tears were streaming down his face.
He knew that God still answers prayers.
THIS IS A SIMPLE TEST.... If you believe that God is alive and well,
send this to at least ten people and the person that sent it to you!!!!!!!!
This is so true. Sometimes it's the simplest things that God asks us to
do that cause us, if we are obedient to what He's asking, to be able to
hear. His voice more clear than ever. Please listen, and obey! It will
bless you (and the world). Phil 4:13

This is an easy test - you score 100 or zero. It's your choice.

If you aren't ashamed to do this, please follow the directions. Jesus
said, 'If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father,
Not ashamed...Pass this on

Blog EntryTouched my HeartNov 28, '08 2:05 PM
for everyone
This piece so touched my heart and soul that I just had to send it to all of those who have touched my life in a positive way, whether for a short period of time, for one day, or a moment. Thank you for being in my life in whatever capacity you have filled, for whatever reason and for whatever length of time. My wish is that you will take from the followiing that which most touches you and share it with those who love and as well as those you love.

1. Maybe. . . we were supposed to meet the wrong people before meeting the right one so that, when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

2. Maybe . . . when the door of happiness closes, another opens; but, often times, we look so long at the closed door that we don't even see the new one which has opened for us.

3. Maybe . . . it is true that we don't know what we have until we lose it, but it is also true that we don't know what we have been missing until it arrives.

4. Maybe. . . the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

5. Maybe . . . the brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; after all, you can't go on successfully in life until you let go of past mistakes, failures and heartaches.

6. Maybe . . .  there are moments in life when you miss someone, a parent, a spouse, a friend, a child, so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real, so that once they are around you appreciate them more.

7. Maybe . . . the best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, then walk away feeling it was the best conversation you've ever had.

8. Maybe. . . you should always be "empathic", put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that something could hurt you, it probably will hurt the other person, too.   Always be "ecological" with harm to none including yourself.

9. Maybe . . . you should do something nice for someone every single day, even if it is simply to smile or leave them alone.

10. Maybe . . . giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they will love you back. Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart; but, if it doesn't, be content that it grew in yours.

11. Maybe . . . happiness waits for all those who cry, all those who hurt, all those who have searched, and all those who have done, for only they can appreciate the importance of all the people who have touched their lives.

12. Maybe . . . you shouldn't go for looks; they can deceive; don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile, because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

13. Maybe . . . you should hope for enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to make you happy.

14. Maybe . . . you should live your life to the fullest because when you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling: When you die, you can be the one who is smiling and everyone around you crying.

15. Maybe. . . you could send this message to those people who mean something to you, to those who have touched your life, to those who can and do make you smile when you really need it, to those who make you see the brighter side of things when you are really down, and to all those whom you want to know that you appreciate them and their friendship. And if you don't, don't worry; nothing bad will happen to you. You will just miss out on the opportunity to perhaps brighten someone's day.

If, when faced with the bad, when told everything is futile, you can still look up and end the conversation with the phrase, 'yeah, BUT,' then you still have HOPE.

Knock, Knock, I knocked at heaven's door this morning. God asked me...'My child, what can I do for you?' And I said, 'Father, please protect and bless the person reading this message.' God smiled and answered...'Request granted'. If you believe, send this to seven people and the one who sent it to you. By doing this, you have succeeded in praying for eight people today. 'Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.'

The Necklace

The cheerful little girl with bouncy golden curls was almost five. Waiting with her mother at the checkout stand, she saw them, a circle of glistening white pearls in a pink foil box.

'Oh mommy please, Mommy. Can I have them? Please, Mommy, please?'

Quickly the mother checked the back of the little foil box and then looked back into the pleading blue eyes of her little girl's upturned face.

'A dollar ninety-five. That's almost $2.00. If you really want them, I'll think of some extra chores for you and in no time you can save enough money to buy them for yourself. Your birthday's only a week away and you might get another crisp dollar bill from Grandma.'

As soon as Jenny got home, she emptied her penny bank and counted out 17 pennies. After dinner, she did more than her share of chores and she went to the neighbor and asked Mrs. McJames if she could pick dandelions for ten cents. On her birthday, Grandma did give her another new dollar bill and at last she had enough money to buy the necklace.

Jenny loved her pearls. They made her feel dressed up and grown up. She wore them everywhere, Sunday school, kindergarten, even to bed. The only time she took them off was when she went swimming or had a bubble bath. Mother said if they got wet, they might turn her neck green.

Jenny had a very loving daddy and every night when she was ready for bed, he would stop whatever he was doing and come upstairs to read her a story. One night as he finished the story, he asked Jenny, 'Do you love me?'

'Oh yes, daddy. You know that I love you.'

'Then give me your pearls.'
' Oh, daddy, not my pearls.. But you can have Princess, the white horse from my collection, the one with the pink tail. Remember, daddy? The one you gave me. She's my very favorite.'

'That's okay, Honey, daddy loves you. Good night.' And he brushed her cheek with a kiss.

About a week later, after the story time, Jenny's daddy asked again, 'Do you love me?'

'Daddy, you know I love you.'

'Then give me your pearls.'

'Oh Daddy, not my pearls. But you can have my baby doll. The brand new one I got for my birthday. She is beautiful and you can have the yellow blanket that matches her sleeper.'

'That's okay. Sleep well. God bless you, little one. Daddy loves you.'

And as always, he brushed her cheek with a gentle kiss.

A few nights later when her daddy came in, Jenny was sitting on her bed with her legs crossed Indian style.

As he came close, he noticed her chin was trembling and one silent tear rolled down her cheek.
'What is it, Jenny? What's the matter?'

Jenny didn't say anything but lifted her little hand up to her daddy. And when she opened it, there was her little pearl necklace. With a little quiver, she finally said, 'Here, daddy; this is for you.'

With tears gathering in his own eyes, Jenny's daddy reached out with one hand to take the dime store necklace, and with the other hand he reached into his pocket and pulled out a blue velvet case with a strand of genuine pearls and gave them to Jenny.

He had them all the time. He was just waiting for her to give up the dime-store stuff so he could give her the genuine treasure. So it is, with our Heavenly Father. He is waiting for us to give up the cheap things in our lives so that he can give us beautiful treasures.

God will never take away something without giving you something better in its place.

You can do two things with this story:

A. Pass it on and let others be touched by its message;

B. Throw it away and not let it touch your heart.

The greatest gifts happen when you share love and touch others

Blog EntryReasons‏Nov 10, '08 5:22 PM
for everyone

There is a Purpose I am sending this to you to see how many actually
read their e-mail. Your response will  be interesting. Pay attention
to what you read.  After you have finished  reading it, you will know
the reason it was sent to you.

Here goes:

People come  into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you know which  one it is, you will know what  to do for that person.
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty,
to provide you with  guidance and support, to aid you
physically, emotionally or spiritually.  They may seem likea godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an
inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to
bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move  on.

Some people  come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or  learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons,
things you must build upon in order to have a
solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person
and put what you have learned to use in all other
relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love
is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
Thank  you for being a part of my life, whether
you were a reason, a season or a  lifetime.

Send this to  every friend that you have on-line,
including the person who sent it to  you.

     GUARDIAN  ANGEL
Forward  this message the same day you read
it  It may sound ridiculous, but it is right on time. We
believe that something is about to happen.  Angels exist,
only sometimes they haven't got wings and we call them
friends; you are one of them.  Something wonderful is about
to happen to you and your  friends.
